When is Maine - Hot Dogs? Well, actually yes! We're from New Jersey where the local Hot Dogs are a religion. This is the real deal! All I can say is- if you're looking change it up after a Lobster Roll at McLoons Lobster Shack this is the place. Not many tables to sit down and eat- But they free up quickly. Dogs are perfectly cooked with all of the sides and dog dressings you would expect. It's worth a stop back from the Breakwater Lighthouse and a walk around town.

Fastest service! Your order is ready as you place it, literally stood in like for maybe 2mins with 5 people in front of us, ordered and had our food at the window in 30s. So good to! 2 chilli dogs, 2 everything, and 2 fries. Didn't love the cheese, but honestly everything else was so good I can't complain!

They have long lines sometimes but they have the dogs ready an top it with wht you want an walk away very quickly..so glad they are re-opened an enjoyed some chili cheese dogs..thanks Wasses

One of the better Hot dog places in the midcoast area. Super great service with a quick in and out. If you like dogs, come here. Sometimes they are extra greasy but some people like it while others do not.

Wasses is the place to go for a hot dog. This place is a well known and well liked by locals and people from afar. Always fast and good service. We go there every time we are in town. So good!

Old School Fast Food Done Right. Just passing through Rockland and noticed a small line at this shop. Glad we stopped! Wasses has the kind of service that I don't often see these days. Simple offerings made very quickly and efficiently at a fair price. They offer several hot dog variations but I can speak to the kraut dog and the "everything". Both were very good but the everything really hit the spot. They also offer coffee milk and celery salt which really complete the meal for me.

They close at 400, I showed up at 355, was my 1st time and they still served me with a smile !!! Only regret , Only getting 1 hot dog.. instead of 2 😑 !!

It was our first time going there ever, and it was awesome. The food was great and they gave hotdogs to our fur babies. All in all it was a great experience and picnic.

Seriously is a really good hot dog. What makes it unique is the bun that it's served on. A split white bread. Having with grilled onions is a must. Still the best hot dog in the world is the dog at Baejarins Beztu Pylsur in Reykjavik iceland but this is right up there

Very quick grilled dogs. The Rodeo Dog with grilled onions, bacon, baked beans and BBQ sauce was unbelievable!

I used to come here in the early 90s as a kid and the hot dogs are just as good as I remembered. I'm glad they still use peanut oil, so good!

If you like your dogs grilled on a warm bun, and,if you especially like grilled onions, you'll love Wasses...always served with a warm smile!

If you're in the MidCoast area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a Wasses hotdog with everything. If you wanna do like some of the locals, order it with a chocolate milk. Sounds odd, but I hear it's a winning combo!

Love wasses but maybe update your website hours so people don’t waste there time driving to you to have you be closed when website says open for another hour.

This is a local favorite and a must do If you appreciate a good steamed dog. Available with many toppings or order one off the menu. Easy to do lunch for 2 for under $10. They do not have a restroom, just the walk-up take out window. Easy to find, access, and exit.

Best hot dog in the state of Maine! They haven't changed a thing. That's why they are still going after all these years. Don't drive through Rockland without grabbing a hot dog and fries from Wasses!

Wow! Started with their regular hot dog, which consists of grilled onions, relish, and mustard. And man was it was great! I had no self control and went back for the kraut dog. You must go there now.

Their sign says they've sold a million hot-dogs and it's probably true because these are good hot-dogs! My only complaint is that they're closed on Sundays. Inexpensive and delicious. They are cooked in peanut oil. The main spot in Rockland also sells very good french fries. (The Wasses on Rt. 1 doesn't sell fries.) Make sure you get there at least once if you visit the area!

I think they fry the hot dogs...what else is there to say?? The hot dogs are crisp and snap a little...the chili is simple and so delicious. The bun is nice and soft, fries are perfectly fried and the cheese is great on them. I am... literally.... salivating right now! Those ladies work so hard back there. Great job! Biggest thing to note, cash only. I'm from va, this is a must stop when I visit Maine
